Soma Journey is the culmination of my own path of healing. A path marked by trauma, transformation, and the relentless grace of God.
Through this work, I’ve come to believe that healing isn’t just possible, it’s promised, and it’s meant to touch every part of our being: body, mind, and spirit.
Out of this journey came Trauma Gates. A Spirit-led curriculum birthed not in theory, but in lived experience. I wrote it as someone who’s walked through deep pain, and discovered the presence of God on the other side.
I believe He has been preparing me for this work my entire life, and it is a deep honor to now offer the Trauma Gates Somatic Coaching Certification as part of Soma Journey’s core mission:
To equip ministry leaders, healthcare professionals, and coaches to carry
healing to others with excellence, integrity, and embodied faith.
My own story begins in 1995, when I first stepped into the pursuit of holistic health. After surviving decades of trauma, addiction, abuse, and a failed marriage, I was desperate for something real. In my mid-30s, I encountered Jesus as my Lord and Savior, and nothing has been the same since. He gave me clarity, purpose, and the strength to begin again. Truly, He gives beauty for ashes (Isaiah 61:3), and works all things together for good (Romans 8:28).
Over the years, I’ve continued to study, practice, and deepen my understanding of the integration between body, mind, and spirit. Now, through Soma Journey, I have the joy of walking with others as they step into their own healing and calling.

Whatever the Lord Jesus has brought you through is what you have to give away; has been my revelation for purpose in life. I have worked in ministry with struggling families, single moms, and exploited individuals, including SRA, trafficking, and deliverance. I have walked with hurting people through the rough valleys of life and trust God for the outcome. Nothing equals our God and encountering His presence in a personal relationship. Serving humanity with this inspired process I call Trauma Gates™ is a gift I am now sharing with you. Enjoy the journey!
Philosphy
As awareness of the effects of trauma increases in our ever-fragmented world, we can step into hurting lives with a compassionate solution. Our objective is to train somatic trauma coaches in the body of Christ to exercise their identity and authority to bring an experience of God's love and peace to suffering individuals. Healing somatic trauma enables people to function with greater capacity in relationships, families, and society, bringing forth their contribution. We do not proselytize.

Research has shown that unhealed trauma leads to mental health and physical health issues. Providing an alternative to healing beyond traditional medicine gives people an opportunity to resolve root issues (trauma) and not mask symptoms with pharmaceuticals. We do not diagnose. We work congruently with other healthcare providers our clients may be working with.
